FAQ

  1. 01

How large a project can I get help with?

To give every client the time and presence needed, I work with clearly defined organising projects.

A project might be a wardrobe, a storage room, a hallway, a kitchen, a child's room or an office. Larger areas or whole homes can also be organised, but then we divide the work into smaller stages.

I normally work 2–5 hours per visit, depending on the scope of the project and your needs.

OrganisER covers organising, sorting and structuring your belongings, as well as help planning and creating solutions that work in your everyday life. I do not, however, carry out moving services, removal of large furniture, renovation or extensive cleaning.

If you are unsure whether your project fits, you are warmly welcome to send an inquiry. We go through your needs together and see what a reasonable scope would be.

What is included in an organising session?

We begin by going through the area we have chosen to focus on. Together we sort, make decisions about what to keep and create a structure that works based on your everyday life and your needs.

Sometimes we also need to look at adjoining spaces or other parts of the home to understand the whole. If we are organising a wardrobe, for example, it may be relevant to see how storage and laundry routines work in the laundry room. It gives us a better picture of how things can be distributed and creates better conditions for order in the wardrobe.

So I work on the chosen area, while also considering how different parts of the home connect. That way we can create solutions that work long term – not just get one single place in order.

Do I need to sort, declutter or clean before you come?

No, you don't need to prepare or clean before I arrive. If you would like to start decluttering on your own, you are more than welcome to do so. Going through your things and making decisions about them is an important part of the organising, and we can do that together. The only thing I wish for is that it is possible to start working in the area and that you are ready.

  4. 04

Do I need to buy new storage solutions beforehand?

No. We always start by looking at what you already have and how it can be used in a better way.

In many cases new storage solutions are needed. Then I can suggest products that suit the space, your needs and the project. Once we agree on what to buy, I am happy to handle the purchases for you.

I do not, however, buy or assemble large furniture.

  5. 05

Do you take care of things to be donated, sold or thrown away?

I help you sort and make decisions about what should leave the home. Smaller amounts we can handle together during the session. If you wish, I can take working clothes and items to second-hand shops.

I do not offer removal or transport of large amounts of things or large furniture.

  6. 06

Can you help with the whole home?

Yes, an entire home can be organised – but not in one single visit.

Larger projects are divided into smaller, manageable parts and prioritised according to what would make the biggest difference for you and your everyday life. That way we create change step by step without the project becoming overwhelming.

  7. 07

Can OrganisER help with organising workplaces?

Yes. I also help businesses that want to create more structure and function in their work environment.

It might, for example, involve organising offices, storage rooms, materials, supplies or shared spaces. Together we look at what exists, what needs to stay and how the spaces can be organised based on how you actually work.

My goal is to create a solution that is easy to use and easy to maintain – so that the order lasts even after the organising is complete.

Do you need help with a smaller project, or are you unsure of what you need? You are welcome to get in touch and we will see together what would suit you best.

  8. 08

Do I need to be at home during the organising?

It depends on how involved you want to be. During sorting and decluttering I need your help, because you are the one who decides what is kept, moved or leaves the home.

Once we have gone through the things and made decisions, I can, if you wish, take care of the organising and structuring on my own.

  9. 09

What happens if the project takes longer than expected?

It is completely normal for a project to need more than one visit. Organising can take different amounts of time depending on the number of things, how many decisions need to be made and the complexity of the project. That is why the quote and time estimate are based on the information we have before the project starts.

If it turns out during the work that the project requires more time than expected, I check with you before we exceed the agreed budget. Together we then decide whether to continue with more hours or finish the project at the level we have reached.

Larger projects can also be divided into several stages.
