My method & philosophy
A simpler everyday life
Having an always-tidy home is not realistic for most of us, but by reducing the number of things and creating order, cleaning becomes so much easier. The goal is for every item to have its own place, and for everyone in the household to find it easier to keep that order. It should be easy to do the right thing.
A new relationship with your home
Better order at home can bring great positive effects – a stronger sense of control, calm and space in everyday life. I hope you will look at your home with inspiration and gratitude, and feel that you can shape it around the way you want to live.
Changing your home environment is also an inner journey. Step by step, we make room for what matters to us in our lives. It also creates space for more creative ideas, calm to make decisions, and an oasis where we can relax.
Tailored to you
You are the expert on your own life, and unfortunately there is no one size fits all solution. I contribute knowledge, structure and support throughout the process. We start from your needs and wishes, with the aim of finding simple routines and systems that work for you and your family, here and now.
Essentialism
I see myself as an essentialist rather than a minimalist. For me it is not about owning as little as possible, but about keeping what genuinely adds value to our life. How much we need is individual. What feels just right for one person can feel overwhelming for another. So it is about finding your own limit – the amount of things that feels manageable and makes everyday life simpler, not heavier. By becoming aware of what matters to you, it becomes easier to choose what is allowed to take up space in your home, and to create systems that work within your own limits.
Finding the balance between practical & beautiful
To me, it is more important that things work in practice than that they look perfect on the outside. Organising that is beautiful is of course a big plus (and something I strive for too), but isn't it still more important that it actually works for you?
An ongoing process
Life changes all the time: seasons change and we change with them, children's needs change, and so do ours. That is why decluttering and organising are not something we do once and for all, but it is an ongoing process. A home needs to be allowed to change along with life. With an open mind, we can adjust and adapt the structure as needs change – without feeling that we did it "wrong" before. The goal is to find simple routines and systems that work for you and your family, here and now. I contribute knowledge, structure and support through the process, but you are the one who knows your home and your everyday life best.
Before my visit
I am bound by professional confidentiality. You never need to tidy up before my visit. I need to see your everyday life as it is in order to help you in the best way.
